Coach, Alumnus to be Inducted to Sports Hall of Fame
Former football coach Greg Gattuso and alumnus Dr. Vincent Morreale will become the newest members of the Duquesne University Sports Hall of Fame.
They will be honored on Friday, Sept. 24, at a banquet and induction ceremony in the Lexus Club of the CONSOL Energy Center.
Gattuso served as head coach at Duquesne from 1992-2004 and guided the Duquesne football program from Division III to the I-AA non-scholarship level. He holds the University record for most wins in the school history (97) during his 12-year tenure.
Morreale, A’87, team chiropractor for the past five years, has volunteered countless hours assisting the Department of Athletics with development and special events. He is a past recipient of the Duquesne Mind, Heart and Spirit Award and a current member of the Duquesne Athletic Fund Advisory Board and Duquesne University Volunteers.
