Stepping Up: Mike Kozminski, Manager of Chick-fil-A for Duquesne Dining
Mike Kozminski serves the campus community by providing a clean, healthy, safe space for students to eat. Fostering this environment has been especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has put in countless hours cleaning dining facilities and serving students living on campus who have been unable to return home. Mike worked through Good Friday and Easter Sunday to make sure the students remaining on campus had access to a delicious meal. Mike has spent the last seven years working at Duquesne, starting as the supervisor at The Incline. In 2017, he was promoted to assistant retail director of Chick-fil-A.
His supervisor Nicholas Corbett, general manager of retail dining for Parkhurst Dining at Duquesne, said Mike was crucial in reevaluating operational procedures to minimize cross contact by dining guests.
"He has an acute ability to analyze the guest experience and has used that in our efforts in enhancing safety and sanitation," said Corbett. "Mike understands how important the dining program is to the student experience, and in these trying times has found a way to continue to elevate that experience for those students that remain on campus."
Thank you, Mike, and the rest of the Parkhurst Dining staff for the commitment you have to serving Duquesne students!
