Point Breeze Resident Appointed President of WPLLA
Dr. Joel Fishman, assistant director for lawyer services at the Duquesne University School of Law, has been appointed president of the Western Pennsylvania Law Library Association for 2010-2011, a professional organization of law librarians associated with the American Association of Law Libraries.
Fishman is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Constitutional Review Commission, a new PBA-appointed entity formed to determine if a new constitutional convention should be called to address issues affecting the current state constitution. He also serves as co-director of a Pennsylvania Constitution website for the Duquesne University Center for Legal Information/Allegheny County Law Library.
Fishman, who resides in Point Breeze, is serving his term as president through May 2011.
