Local Entrepreneurs to Discuss Steps to Success at Duquesne Conference
More than 400 small business managers and owners will gather for breakout sessions, keynote addresses and a tradeshow at the annual Entrepreneur's Growth & Networking Conference, hosted by Duquesne University's Small Business Development Center.
The 18th annual conference will focus on What's Your Next Chapter to Success? at the daylong event on Thursday, June 2, in the Duquesne Union Ballroom.
Jeff Broadhurst, president and chief executive officer of Eat'n Park Hospitality Group, will deliver the luncheon keynote. Scot Teachout, president of Peak Performance, will open the conference with his breakfast keynote address at 9 a.m.
Local business experts and successful entrepreneurs will cover a range of topics useful to businesses right now, such as becoming a breakout brand, the importance of greening a business and social media marketing. Nearly a dozen different breakout sessions will be offered.
"This conference is always an exciting event for attendees," said Dr. Mary McKinney, director of the SBDC. "Not only is it a wonderful networking opportunity but also a dynamic learning experience with first-class keynote speakers, workshops tailored to small business issues and exhibits and prizes."
