The Body of Your Dreams: DU Ensemble Presents Multi-Media Experience

A Duquesne University contemporary ensemble, The Accidental Collective, will present an unusual multi-media musical concert, The Body of Your Dreams. The concert dispenses with the usual format and treats audience members to a continuous stream of content. The Accidental Collective had solicited a call for scores, receiving nearly 100 compositions from around the world. The winning work, Shawn Allison’s Towards the Flame, will be featured, along with other uniquely presented compositions that, on average, have been created in the last two years.

Duquesne Contemporary Ensemble Coach David Cutler, associate professor of composition and musicianship in the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne, works with performers Robert Beasley, trumpet; Brent Behrenshausen, percussion; Deidre Huckabay, flute, alto flute and piccolo; Xin Gao, soprano, alto and tenor saxophones; Jack Madden, bass trombone; Matthew Pickart, violin; and Rachel Smith, cello.
