Children's Festival Chorus (Downtown)

Children's Festival Chorus is a premier children's choir with a mission to provide superior choral education and performance opportunities to Pittsburgh area children (ages from 8 to 15), a professional level children's chorus to audiences and training to current and future music educators. The chorus is under the direction of Christine Jordanoff, Artistic Director and is an "ensemble in residence at Duquesne University".


Volunteers can assist with data base management, preparing marketing and fundraising materials.


Friends in Harmony (Highland Park)(Practice in Squirrel Hill)

A volunteer friendship oriented social group of semi-professionals who rehearse and perform choral music in nursing homes and other venues for the joy of music teamwork, friendship and camaraderie not to make money. It provides harmonial teamwork, creative outlet for musical expression and brings joy through music to others.


Volunteers will rehearse and perform along with other activities related to preparing concerts. A commitment to making a harmonious team, both musically and personally; ability to learn to sing in a trained style; car or ride; optional: sight, singing ability, vocal training is needed, must pass audition and willingness to stay up late and rehearse between 11:30 pm and 11:45 pm
