FMLA Medical & Maternity Leave

To request medical or maternity leave, all full-time, part-time, clerical, administrative staff and faculty must:

  1. Submit a Medical Leave Request Form to the Benefits Office.
  2. Give their supervisor at least 30 days advance notice of the need for a medical leave. If the 30-day notice is not possible, notice should be provided as soon as possible.

Employees who have worked at Duquesne University for one (1) year or more and have worked at least 1,250 hours are eligible for FMLA consideration. For additional information regarding FMLA leave, please review the FMLA FAQs, and TAP 15.
