This policy describes the procedure for making requests for employment verifications to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Requests for employment verifications must be directed to the Office of Human Resources and must contain the expressed, written consent of the current or former employee. Requests received without written consent will not be honored, including verbal disclosure of employee information. All requests are processed in writing inclusive of re-verifications.
The University requires lead time to address employment verifications. Employees and/or vendors should allow for a 3-5 business days for processing. The University will not release performance appraisals and/or or related performance and character-based assessments. The Office of Human Resources will only affirm employee information including employee status, dates of hire, and most recent salary if requested.
