Message from Our New President - Terry Tatrai
Our October 16 Fall Trip to the Northeast PA wineries was enjoyed by 25 retirees and friends! On May 14, DURA members and friends took a bus trip to the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. Lunch was provided by the Pine Grill in Somerset and on the way home, the travelers stopped at Sharky's Grill in Latrobe for happy hour.
The Christmas 2018 luncheon was enjoyed by more than 50 retirees and guests !
The Spring Luncheon was held on April 25,2019 in the Africa Room in Duquesne's Student Union. Members and guests enjoyed a hot lunch and listened to an excellent presentation concerning the new UPMC Chuck Cooper Fieldhouse.
The new Board members are looking forward to more involvement and new ideas. We have tabulated the results of the surveys received and will use the responses in planning future events. We look forward to receiving feedback from our members. Please encourage your friends to join us. Be sure to check out our web pages at: www.duq.edu/retirees for upcoming and past events.
The annual dues are $20. Our new Treasurer, John Sucha, has made some great improvements. Dues can now be paid online.
Our annual dues help with covering entertainment, keeping the cost of on-campus lunches reasonable, and other DURA expenses. We strive to keep the cost on all events as low as possible. We hope that you will continue to support our events.
