Job Title: Enrollment Services Assistant

Job Description: • Connect with incoming students and families through all communication methods, including, but not limited to, phone calls, text messages, live chat, virtual and in-person events, and social media. 40%*
• Initiate outreach to target populations-students within assigned majors and select populations, students that need assistance completing necessary documents, etc. Provide supplemental advising support (e.g., regarding course and major selection, academic policies and procedures, etc.) to incoming students. Job Title: PACT Tutor

Job Description: The Academic Coach is responsible for providing tutorial assistance to Elementary, Middle, and High school students. This is a part-time position that reports to the Program Coordinator. The Academic Coach will perform the following duties as outlined below:

• Work to improve the academic skill level of elementary, middle, and high school students.
• Provide additional learning support by preparing a weekly lesson plan to reinforce skill development.

Job Description: DUV tutors support various functions of community based after-school programs. These functions include providing academic support and homework assistance, academic remediation, standardized test preparation (when appropriate), engaged play (e.g., outdoor time/athletic play) and mentorship of youth ages 5-15. Transportation from campus may be provided to the sites.

Job Title: CTS Lab Consultant

Job Description: Duties include monitoring and providing assistance to students and faculty in computer labs across campus. Perform basic computer troubleshooting and printer maintenance. Computer Lab Consultants are responsible for maintaining a clean quiet work area. Qualified candidates will demonstrate good customer service and the ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to lift and move 20-30lbs.
Must be available to work 11 hours during normal business hours which are M-Th 8:00am-10:00pm, F 8:00am-6:00pm. Weekend hours are also available. Job Title: Section of Amphibians & Reptiles Collections Assistant

Do you love organization and have you always wanted to explore behind-the-scenes at the Museum of Natural History? This could be the opportunity for you!

Location: Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Pay rate: $13/hr

Job Description: The Carnegie Museum is seeking a student worker to assist in the Section of Amphibians and Reptiles. Work will be based in the herpetology collection held at the museum which numbers around 250,000 specimens. Duties include checking alcohol levels in jars and tanks, swapping out older jars and gaskets for new ones, tagging, classifying, and cataloging our teaching and exchange collection, and assisting with updates to the osteology collection (updating storage boxes and specimen labels, reorganizing the collection according to recent taxonomic changes, etc.). Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial. Willingness to create blog posts or social media content sharing your work experiences with the museum audience would be a plus.

Job Requirements: Work will involve contact with fluid-preserved specimens held in 70% ethanol as well as osteological (skeletal) specimens. The main requirements for this position is strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills. Knowledge of herpetological taxonomy is a plus, but not required; the desire to learn taxonomy as part of this job will be advantageous. Worker should be able to climb stairs, bend, reach overhead, and carry 5-10 pounds.

Job Title: Section of Amphibians & Reptiles Archival Assistant

Do you love working with archival documents and digital organization? This could be the job for you!

Location: Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Pay rate: $13/hr

Job Description: The Carnegie Museum is seeking a student worker to assist with archival work in the Section of Amphibians and Reptiles. Duties include scanning journal reprints and archiving digital copies into the section library. Depending on how rapidly archiving is completed, there may be opportunities to archive photographic material as well, and to cross-check details of previously scanned material in the section's database. A desire to gain experience handling archival documents is highly valued. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial.

Job Requirements: Work will involve handling documents, and potentially photographs, slides, and negatives. Worker should be able to climb stairs, bend, and reach overhead, but reasonable accommodations will be made for those with a strong desire to gain archival experience. Individual should be able to work independently and have strong attention to detail. Must qualify for federal work study aid through the University and must commit to working 10 hours per week. Description: Development (Fundraising)
For this internship, it is required that applicants submit a writing sample with their resume and cover
letter. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the development team that is responsible for raising funds for children's wishes.
• Obtaining information about children's wishes to write wish stories for thank you letters.
• Assisting with the Kids For Wish Kids® and Wishmakers On Campus® fundraising programs.

Job Title: After-School Program Aide

Location: The Ellis School 

Pay rate: $13/hr

The Ellis School is seeking an energetic, responsible individual who loves working with children to fill a part-time position in our After-school Program. A willingness to work as part of a team providing a safe and fun environment for elementary school girls in pre-kindergarten through grade 4 is required. Experience working with children is preferred.
The position runs from September through June. Regular hours are from 2:00-6:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities:
To take attendance of students upon arrival and take charge of student dismissal
To supervise active play in the gym and on the playground
To help prepare snacks
To supervise activities in various meeting and play spaces
To support Extended Day staff working in Middle School
To know and follow the rules of the School and remind students to do the same when in attendance in the Extended Day Program
To be energetic and interact with students
To work cooperatively with colleagues
To show up consistently and on time for duties
Occasional lifting may be required
