Duquesne University places the highest emphasis on the safety and wellbeing of its campus visitors and particularly those visitors who are Minors. For purposes of Duquesne University's policy and Minors Programs requirements, the term "Minor(s)" means any person or group of persons under the age of 18, excluding those who are enrolled at the University as full-time students.
To put into practice the University's commitment to the protection of Minors on campus and compliance with the various laws related to Minors on campus, the University has established a policy and a Compliance Manual describing its requirements for Minors Programs.
The Office of Risk Management is responsible for enforcing the policies regarding Minors Programs by:
• Ensuring compliance with federal laws, state laws, and University policies governing the protection of Minors;
• Monitoring the process by which organizations may sponsor or participate in Minors Programs; and
• Training University departments on these policies and their responsibilities of compliance.

For Parents or Guardians of Minors Participating in Duquesne University Minors Programs:
Parents/Guardians must complete the Parental Consent, Emergency Contacts, and Legal Release Form in order for their child/dependent to participate in a Minors Program. Program Coordinators may also ask parents/guardians to complete the Use of Image Consent and Release form. Both forms may be submitted online using the links below. If you have any questions regarding the Minors Program in which your child/dependent is participating, please contact the Program Coordinator for the event. The Program Coordinator is the Duquesne University student or employee responsible for coordinating the Minors Program.
For Volunteers of Duquesne University Minors Programs:
Anyone wishing to volunteer for a Minors Program who is not affiliated with Duquesne University must review the Volunteer Guide and Procedures and submit a completed Volunteer Agreement.
