The College of Liberal Arts provides unique educational opportunities designed specifically for adult learners. The Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership combines academic excellence with innovative course delivery options. Courses are offered online in an eight week accelerated format. Five 8-week terms are offered during the academic year. Students who enroll in 6 credits (two courses) per term are considered full time status for financial aid purposes. Convenient schedule options accommodate those who need to fit their studies around work, family and other responsibilities. Each student is assigned a Student Success Coach who will work closely with them throughout their enrollment.

Computer Systems Technology

The Computer Systems Technology major provides students with a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge, research findings, skills and methodologies encompassing computers, communications and software, with an emphasis on technology and information systems. The curriculum enables students to design, create and manage modern information systems and employ technologies to solve complex problems in organizations. The program also offers a blend of computer systems and information technology that creates a well-rounded professional who knows how to think analytically, assess and diagnose organizational problems, and select the best solution.

Computer systems and technology are critical to the operations and management of any organization. Their effective and efficient use is considered a critical element for achieving and maintaining excellence. This has driven the need for well-educated professionals in the field.

Organizational Leadership

The Organizational Leadership major provides students with the ability to help others move organizations forward in changing times. While the focus of the program is cultivating the ability to lead at any level, individuals also develop and refine skills in critical thinking, problem solving, motivating and empowering others, and communicating effectively and persuasively.

Students learn to look at the big picture, identify the skills and abilities of the various team members, and develop a plan to get everyone pulling together in the group's best interest.

  • Deduce leadership knowledge from the liberal arts and humanities;
