At Duquesne, we believe an education is about those moments that move your student to a new and clearer vantage point-both in terms of academics and the larger world. Ranked as a best value university, our students are automatically considered for scholarships based on their accomplishments when applying.
Duquesne offers 80 future-focused majors in business, education, liberal arts, music, natural and environmental sciences, nursing, and pharmacy, plus Honors College, pre-medical and health sciences, pre-law, and 3+3 bachelor's/JD law programs. Duquesne also offers 90 graduate and professional programs and a new (proposed) medical school opening in 2024.

fieldwork, research projects and internships at major corporations, healthcare systems,
schools and other organizations.
Students enjoy walking or the short bus ride to Pittsburgh's cultural district, sports stadiums, shopping, dining and parks, and can choose from 250+ student organizations including academic, social, service, spiritual, political, performing arts, and sports. Duquesne has 16 NCAA Division I men's and women's teams plus club and intramural sports. Over 8,500 students attend Duquesne annually and the alumni network is 100,000+ strong.

In a survey of 2019-2020 graduates:
- 64% of respondents reported that they would be employed full time upon graduation.
- Employers include: Cleveland Clinic, Deloitte, FedEx, North Allegheny School District, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, PNC, PPG, UPMC and Upper Saint Clair School District.
- 26% said they would be continuing their education, at Duquesne University as well as institutions including American University, Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, and University of Pittsburgh.
- 85% of the respondents reported having one or more internship or career related work experiences. Of students reporting internship experiences, the average number reported per student is three.
