campus housing experience.
Through our Office of Student Housing and Residence Life, you can explore housing options, apply to live on campus, meet hundreds of supportive staff members and learn about the Living Learning and Themed Communities in our residence halls. We hope you will choose to live in one of our housing options while you spend your time on the Bluff and in the City of Pittsburgh.
Our Residence Halls, are where a majority of our residential students spend their
time when they are not in class. We strive to ensure that you have safe environment
to call your own and be your authentic self. Learn more about each Residence Hall
featured below. Vickroy Hall be offline next academic year (Fall 2025 through Spring 2026) for renovation.
There are plenty of sophomore, junior, senior and graduate housing options available
during this renovation. We are currently reviewing student feedback to make Vickroy

Important Housing Information
Important Dates to Help You Plan For Hall Openings and Closings
The University Residence Halls will close on the following dates for each break period. Students requesting to stay will need to receive approval from the Student Housing & Residence Life Staff and must apply with this form. (Please note: St. Martin, McGinley and Brottier Halls do not close for the breaks).
Residence Hall Closing Summer 2026:
St. Ann Hall, Assumption Hall, Des Places Hall and Duquesne Towers close for Spring on Thursday, May 7 at 9 a.m.
St Martin Hall will close on Monday, May 11 at 9 a.m.
Brottier Hall and McGinley Hall leases will end on Tuesday, July 21 at 9 a.m.
Where Will Students Eat If They Stay on Campus During a Break Period
Dining Services will have meals available in the Incline (1st floor of the Student Union). There will be two meals per day (Brunch 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.; Dinner 4:30 – 6 p.m.). Dining Services will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day but students will be invited to join a special holiday meal hosted by the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life on these days.
Meal plans are not in effect over the break. All meals can be purchased on a cash basis or by using PLUS/FLEX. To access the Incline area, please proceed down the ramp on the side of the Student Union (Closest to College Hall).
Duquesne Students Who Are Enrolled in Summer Courses Will Be Offered the Opportunity to Live on Campus
