Emancipated Minor – Documentation Required
On your FAFSA, you answered “Yes” to the question asking whether you are or were
an emancipated minor as determined by a court in your state of legal residence. To
complete our review, please submit a copy of the official court order that adjudicated
you as an emancipated minor.
The court order must have been issued by a court in your state of legal residence
and must have been in effect at the time you reached the age of majority. Upload a
copy of the court order to your student portal. Federal financial aid eligibility
cannot be finalized until this documentation is received and reviewed.
