Make Your Bigger Goals a Reality
Duquesne’s soundLab is a flexible space where aspiring entrepreneurs, engineers, and artists like you come together to create things by exploring connections between technology, music, sound and visual arts, and movement. It is a low-stakes environment where you are encouraged to experiment and to work through the process of trial and error on your way to innovation, product design, and fabrication.
Our Maker’s Lab is rooted in STEAM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). It fosters research and facilitates problem-solving. Here, you will gain skills in sound design, engineering and coding, while being challenged to find concrete, practical solutions to abstract problems.
Our Maker’s Lab is not just a space for hardware and software development. It is also a social space where you will form lasting connections and friendships by working collaboratively together towards shared goals. We have worked across campus with students and faculty from the Biomedical Engineering Program and the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science to design parts and solve problems.
