Duquesne University is passionate about preparing the next generation of educators who will make a meaningful impact in the field of education and their communities. Our Future Educator Scholarship is awarded to eligible incoming first-year students enrolling in our School of Education, in addition to academic merit scholarships.
This additional scholarship supports students financially and encourages a strong commitment to education and community service, aligning with Duquesne University’s mission and values. Scholarships are awarded based on a holistic review, including academic achievements, curriculum strength, community contributions and extracurricular experiences, as well as demonstrated financial need.
You must first apply to Duquesne as an education major by January 15 to be considered for a Future Educator Scholarship.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Incoming first-year students who enroll in the School of Education
- Minimum “B” average
- Holistic review considering academic achievements, curriculum strength, personal challenges, community contributions and extracurricular passions
- Commitment to community and education
- Promote educational excellence
- Maintain academic standards
Application Requirements:
- Apply to Duquesne University as an education major by January 15
- Academic records
- Applicants are encouraged to submit a FAFSA and/or CSS Profile (optional, but preferred in order to ensure maximum financial aid from all sources).
