Graduate nursing students* are eligible for a 25% scholarship. You will automatically receive this award if you are admitted and have submitted
your deposit.
*The Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program is not eligible for this scholarship.

Employer Student Loan Repayment Nursing Scholars (Nurse Anesthesia)
Duquesne has partnered with Temple Health Nursing Scholars for Nurse Anesthesia students.
This program allows you the opportunity to achieve your educational and career goals
while reducing or eliminating student loan debt, including student loan debt acquired
prior to attending Duquesne.
Through this program, you may receive up to $40,000 through Temple Health Nursing
Scholars. After graduation, if selected, you will transition into a full-time nursing
role within your approved health system with an employment commitment of 2-3 years.
You may apply to this program at any point during the course of your nursing education,
whether you’re just beginning or are graduating in the near future. However, you are
encouraged to apply early as spaces are limited.

Clasp (Nurse Anesthesia)
Duquesne University has partnered with
Clasp to offer Nurse Anesthesia students a unique opportunity to achieve their educational
and career goals while reducing, or even eliminating, student loan debt. Through participating
healthcare employers, eligible students may receive between $20,000 and $180,000 in
student loan repayment benefits.
If selected, you will transition into a full-time position with an approved healthcare
organization after graduation, with an employment commitment determined by the participating
employer. Once employment begins, your employer will make monthly payments directly
toward your student loans. These benefits can be applied to both federal and private
student loans, and payments may remain applied even if you eventually leave the organization.
Students can
apply for Clasp opportunities at any stage of their nursing education, whether they are just beginning their program
or nearing graduation. However, applying early is encouraged to maximize access to
available opportunities and repayment benefits.
PhD Program Scholarships
Two $17,000 new student scholarships are available. Students who are accepted, deposited
and enrolled in the PhD in Nursing program are eligible to apply.
PhD Student Professional Development Fund
As a welcome to newly enrolled PhD students, the School of Nursing supports students'
future scholarship by providing a one-time $2000 award to be used for professional
development activities such as:
Professional memberships, conference registration, software, publication costs, trainings,
research expenses, purchase of books (excluding course texts), and consultation services.
Students are asked to submit a report of expenditures once a year to the Associate
Dean for Research at the School of Nursing, Dr. Melissa Kalarchian.
Funds must be expended prior to the student’s doctoral dissertation defense.
