Career fairs are an excellent way to maximize recruiting efforts and develop brand awareness. Duquesne University hosts several Career Fairs each year to assist in your recruiting efforts. In addition to our biannual Career Fair held on campus in the Fall and Spring semester, there are other opportunities regionally and program specific that may be of interest to you.

Our On-Campus Interview Program (OCI) is open to employers who are recruiting candidates for internships and/or career opportunities for graduating students or alumni. We want you to be successful and have a positive experience at Duquesne University.

You can request your interview date directly through Handshake or by contacting Kim Pierce at pierce@duq.edu or 412-396-6645. We have limited interview space and encourage you to schedule your time as early as possible in your process.

After your date is confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions for logging into Handshake to post/attach the opportunities you will be interviewing on campus.
Share your expertise while increasing your company's visibility on campus. Join us in person or virtually as a presenter, resume reviewer, or mock interviewer at one of our events. Contact Kate Sheridan, Associate Director for Alumni and Employer Networks at sheridank3@duq.edu for more information.
Let the students come to you! Provide a small group (10-20) students the opportunity to visit your workplace, learn about your company, and meet employees at diverse levels within your organization. This half-day experience will be tailored to your company. This opportunity allows our students to not only engage with your company or organization, but to plant the seeds for a potential professional relationship. ContactKate Sheridan, Associate Director for Alumni and Employer Networks at sheridank3@duq.edu for more information.

Duquesne University's Internship Program is designed to provide students with a supervised professional work experience related to the student's major or career goals. Through hands-on training and reflection of their internship experiences, students begin to develop the skills and professional acumen to be successful. Learn more about internship standards defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

The first step is to post the internship opportunity on Handshake, our online job and internship board. In the job description, please provide ample information about the intern's duties and responsibilities as well as specific requirements for the position, such as technical skills, certain majors, GPA, and/or student status (junior, senior, graduate student). We will review the position to ensure that it is credit-worthy and contact you if additional information is necessary.

On-campus interviewing
for internships is offered during the fall and spring semesters based on availability of requested date(s). Once we have confirmed your reservation, detailed information regarding recruiting procedures will be sent to you.
