A Holistic Approach

Your graduate business degree from Duquesne University will open doors to dynamic opportunities, impactful networks, and long-lasting career success.

Here within the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business, we are continually encouraging our students to be "Difference Makers" in the classroom and out in the world. We take a holistic approach when we review applications and have a dedicated admissions support team to help when you have questions!

We offer test-optional admission to our graduate programs.

Candidates for admission may choose to submit a GMAT or GRE score if they do not think their work experience or academic performance accurately reflects their potential for success in graduate study.

Although the GMAT or GRE is not required for admission, applicants submitting strong test scores (500+ GMAT, 305+ GRE) will automatically be considered for fellowships and certain endowed scholarships. Candidates with less than a 3.25/4.0 CGPA will be required to submit a GMAT or GRE score in order to be considered for Graduate Assistantships.

Accelerated Degree Pathways

The Graduate School of Business offers two accelerated pathways to earn an MBA, allowing qualified students to complete graduate coursework as part of their undergraduate program of study.

BSBA-to-MBA

Duquesne undergraduate business majors are permitted to enroll in Duquesne's BSBA-to-MBA program. This program permits qualified students to earn up to six credits of fundamental course waivers and take up to six credits of core Professional MBA (PMBA) classes to fulfill undergraduate elective requirements. Since undergraduate tuition is a flat rate for students enrolling in up to 18 credit hours, the BSBA-to-MBA path essentially reduces the cost of the PMBA program by up to 12 credit hours.

Fast-Track PMBA

Qualified Duquesne undergraduates in non-business majors are permitted to register for up to six credits of fundamental MBA courses. Since undergraduate tuition is a flat rate for students enrolling in up to 18 credit hours, this fast-track path reduces the cost of the PMBA program by up to 6 credit hours. This program provides a valuable opportunity to explore whether an MBA is a good fit - without compromising students' ability to complete their major or a business certificate.

Articulation Agreements

The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business maintains articulation agreement partnerships with many colleges and universities. These partnerships allow students to enroll in graduate business programs with streamlined admission requirements, class waivers, and scholarship opportunities. | Please contact the Graduate School of Business for more information on any of these partnerships.

Center for Student Success

The Eugene P. Beard Center for Student Success (CSS) launched in fall 2022, marking the beginning of a new era for the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. The Center is the realization of the School's integrated, holistic approach for serving students. To realize this vision, staff roles across the school were reimagined to better support students, and the 7th floor of Rockwell Hall was completely renovated, making the Center a physical reality.
